Use the Fill in the Box Activity to play, learn, and explore more about the National Symbols of India by drawing, writing or using the Vocabulary Cards. Our Fill in the Box activity is designed for children to use with our Gujarati or Hindi Vocabulary Cards printable (available on our Resources page).
We recommend Printing & Cutting 2 copies of the Hindi or Gujarati Vocabulary Cards to use with this Activity. Our Hindi and Gujarati Vocabulary Cards include English phonetics for bi-lingual learners and are designed for the Indian-American community to help with pronunciation.
This is a fun kids activity to learn more about India whether you're celebrating India's Independence Day, India's Republic Day, or learning more about India with your class. Children can fill in the boxes by drawing, writing or using the vocabulary cards with the correct National Symbol of India.
Tips to play & learn: For pre-readers ask the child "What is the National Fruit of India?" and help them place the card in its spot. For advanced learners try practicing writing the beginning sounds in English, Gujarati or Hindi in the appropriate squares.
